The abilities of Link, the game’s hero, significantly enhanced the freedom of search and adventure in the world seamlessly from the sky to the underground.

This game attracted enthusiastic supports from many and a wide range of generations of users in the public voting and received the Grand Award.

For example, “Ultrahand” allows him to move objects in the field to bind them together and split them apart. “Fuse,” or Scra Build allows him to bond any items with his equipment he has with him to create new weapons. These new abilities allow players to create various objects, depending on their ideas and enjoy freer adventures.

I would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all players of the game.
After finishing the development of the previous game, the ”Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild,” the Development Team developed DLC (download contents) to allow players enjoy the world more. At the same time, we conceived a new idea of a game which is difficult to be realized through DLC.
We experimented the idea in the world of the previous game, and the result was satisfactory. We were more naturally surprised than expected. Therefore, we decided to create a new game as a “sequel” to the previous game, not to build the new world from the beginning. The story develops in the world of the previous game.
Still, we have an anxiety. Those who experienced the previous game “already know the place.” Inevitably, they will have “deja vu.”
If the new game develops like the previous one, we “get stuck in a rut.” We were conscious of the problem and experienced difficulties, which are different from those in building the world from scratch.
Until the release, we wondered if players would feel fresh and enjoy playing this game, a sequence. This is just an unnecessary anxiety. Seeing the reactions of the players after release and the way they uniquely play the game in their own ways after the time has passed, we developers notice the values we created and gain a lot of courage for the next challenge.
Based on this honorable award, we will create the “Legend of Zelda” to offer more surprise to players through the series. Please look forward to this series. Thank you.
